Daily Bible Reading Thought of the Day on Galatians 6:9 “Don’t Give Up!”

Crying Baby BoyI was brought up selfish. As a baby that was all knew. The world revolved around me. As a child I became a master manipulator, getting what I wanted when I wanted. As an young adult I found my opinions, values, and needs were paramount to others. I saw that doing good was futile in this “me, me” world. I gave up and gave in. As an adult I found Truth. I raised the white flag and gave myself fully to Jesus. My heart is heavy with sadness for the me-mes of the world. My goal, should I be counted as worthy to do so, is to reach others by doing good to them, even when they turn around and stab be right in the back. Again and again. I will take it with pride because the One who found me and made me new endured far far worse. I will not give upon them, because He did not give up on me.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
– Galatians 6:9
